Oh my, oh my, oh my! Homemade garlic & rosemary bread ... Ok, we've seen it all before ... But wait ... What is this hiding inside?? ... Oh yes, oh my! Oozingly, heavenly camembert goodness, enriched with garlic, parsley & rosemary, surrounded by crispy garlicky sourdough pave ... this isn't just any garlic bread ... this is my Camembert Garlic Bread ... And now it's yours too!

The Camembert Garlic Bread Recipe
Ingredients
1 whole Camembert cheese
1 sourdough pave bread (or a round loaf if you prefer)
2 to 3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tablespoon of fresh rosemary, finely chopped
4 tablespoons of softened butter
A pinch of salt
Tin foil
Method
Pre heat to over to 200°C / 400°F / Gas Mark 6
Place a whole camembert on top of the pave bread centrally. Cut around the cheese to make a hole in the bread to fit the cheese in and create a lid. You will need to scoop some of the bread out.
Sit the cheese inside the bread and place the lid on (you will probably need to remove some of the bread from the inside of the lid so it sits on nicely). Now score the bread and the lid crosswise and lengthwise into 1 inch squares The goal is to spread apart the bread pieces to “bloom” and to be able to gently pull a piece off.
In a separate bowl mix together softened butter, 2 to 3 finely chopped garlic cloves and some finely chopped parsley and rosemary. Now spread the mixture all over the top of the bread being sure to lightly press the buttery mixture in between the cuts.
I wrapped the whole thing in foil so the butter could not escape whilst cooking. I would usually cook a camembert for 20 minutes, but found this wasn't long enough when cooked inside the bread. I left the bread inside the foil, but opened it up the foil and put it back in the oven for another 10 minutes to allow the bread to crisp up and the cheese to turn to goo. Dippy heaven!
